Divisional Playoffs
Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 9:50AM One of the best weeks in football, it's Divisional weekend. You have the Cardinals VS Saints, Ravens VS Colts, Cowboys Vs Vikings, and Jets vs Charger. I am going to be spending the weekend drinking beers, doing some football betting, and watch these sure to be entertaining earth shattering games.
So if you like to bet on sports and are researching so hard you need the thoughts of some random beer drinking Canadian. Here is our run down of this weekends action.
Cardinals vs Saints
You have two high scoring quarterbacks playing in a dome. The defense might as well not even show up. The Saints are coming into this game on an 11-0 streak and will be looking to let Drew Brees run wild. Kurt Warner showed last week against the packers that his accuracy can pick apart a defense over the course of game. The Saints have the 26th ranked pass defense, so that is something to consider. However, at the end of the day the Saints have too much depth to let this game slip away. Saints win
Ravens vs Colts
Peyton Manning brings his enormous forehead against the physical awesomeness that is the Ravens defense. The Ravens will be looking to their running game to try and slow down the Forehead's end zone marches. While I think the Ravens could easily win this one, my motives might be slightly selfish. If Manning loses, he can host another Saturday Night Live. In reality though, the Colts will come out on top. Colts win
Cowboys vs Viking
The Cowboys dominated the Eagles last week and showed everyone they are serious this year. The Vikings on the other hand are a very different team than the Eagles. Backed by the crafty vet Favre, he has 6 very capable wide receivers. None more notable than Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice. The Cowboys are dominating the line of scrimmage and should be able to control the tempo of the game allowing Romo to move the Cowboys to the next round. Cowboys win
Jets vs Chargers
The Jets just might be crazy enough to win this. The Chargers havent lost a game since mid October and will depend heavily as always on Phillip Rivers. Having the luxury of an extra week off, the Chargers have had time to study the many different defensive packages the Jets will use. Mark Sanchez has shown he can be a dominate player in the NFL and will give the Jets the edge they need to win this one. Jets Win
